Salvation Army Project Wins RIBA 2010 Regional Award

The Salvation Army Citadel Corps project has added to its awards tally by winning the RIBA 2010 East Region award for architecture.  Congratulations to everyone involved in the project - Hudson Architects, Techniker, Curtins and Apollo Property Services Group.

Constructed entirely of timber and cloaked in an undulating zinc roof, the new £2 million Salvation Army building in Chelmsford provides an assembly hall for worship as well as recreational facilities for the wide range of community outreach activities.

In 2009 the project won the RIBA East Spirit of Ingenuity Awards, ACE/RIBA Award for Architecture, RIBA East Building of the Year and Community Architecture Awards.
