City of London Academy

The 8,060 sq m (86,760 sq ft) City of London Islington Academy designed by SHCA, will be a visually inclusive environment, light and airy, simple and easy to understand, low cost efficient with low life cycle costs.

Phase 3 of the project is currently underway, and when the whole project is completed it is on target to achieve a BREEAM excellent rating for sustainability.

The scheme will be the first academy school to meet the London Mayor's 20% renewable targets and includes a number of low energy elements.

The completed sport facility was constructed using KLH cross laminated timber
